This week’s new products saw brands delving deeper into plant-based protein options, launching unique popcorn flavors and going bananas over the launch of Minions: The Rise of Gru with a new variety of mini muffins. Plus, GoodPop unveiled its newest organic popsicle variety just in time to help you beat the summer heat.

Plant-based powder and tonic brand Sunwink has expanded its lineup with Detox Greens Superfood Powder. The powder features key ingredients like celery, which flushes toxins, and spirulina, which boosts gut and immune health. Each serving of the greens powder packs 500mg of prebiotics and is equivalent to one full serving of veggies. Sunwink Detox Greens will soon be available online.

Rumi Spice launched its newest product innovation: Seasoned Salts. Available in four varieties – Saffron Salt, Cumin Salt, Fennel Salt and Dill Salt – the new collection is available direct-to-consumer on Amazon and Rumi’s website for $10.99 to $14.99 per 3.7 oz. jar. Black Cumin Salt and Fennel Salt will be available at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide beginning in the fall.

In conjunction with the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru, Abe’s Vegan Muffins rolled out Banana Chip Mini Muffins. Inspired by the Minions’ love of bananas, the new flavor promotion will run from August through mid-October. Abe’s Banana Chip Mini Muffins will be available for $3.49-$4.49 per 6-pack and $5.49-$6.49 per 12-pack.

GoodPop popped into summer with the newest addition to its lineup of better-for-you frozen treats: Organic Juice Blasters. Available in a variety pack of three flavors – Cherry, Lemonade and Berry Lemonade – the pops are made with 100% juice and have no added sugar. The GoodPop Organic Juice Blasters variety pack is exclusively available at Whole Foods Market nationwide.

As consumers continue to seek convenient, flavor-forward meals, Sweet Earth announced the launch of two new vegan, frozen entree bowls: Korean BBQ-Style Chik’n Bowl and Cacio e Pepe Bowl. The former, which combines vegan BBQ-Style Chik’n with vegetables like edamame and snap peas, packs 15 grams of plant-based protein and 5 grams of fiber per serving. The latter, which features creamy vegan parmesan-style cheese and black pepper sauce, contains 16 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber per serving. Both frozen meals can be found at Target stores nationwide.

Colorado-based popcorn brand Opopop has released dill pickle flavored popcorn kernels as a new limited-time offering. Available in an 11.3 oz. bag for $13.99, Pickle Monster popcorn utilizes Opopop’s unique “flavor wrapped” technology to season every kernel.

The Fresh Market x Poppy

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, supermarket chain The Fresh Market collaborated with Poppy Hand-Crafted Popcorn to launch a brand new flavor: Pimento Cheese Honey Butter. The new variety is an ode to Fresh Market’s signature pimento cheese. The new SKU will be available exclusively at The Fresh Market starting June 28 in 5.5 oz. bags.

Vegan cheese maker Violife is expanding into a new category with the introduction of its plant-based dips. Available in three varieties – Ranch, French Onion and Spinach & Artichoke – the dips are dairy, nut, soy and gluten-free. All three flavors are crafted with a base of coconut oil. Violife Dips are available at Whole Foods Market for a suggested retail price of $5.29 per 7.05 oz. container.

Hippeas has relaunched its Chickpea Tortilla Chip line, which have been reformulated with more crunch and texture to more closely resemble a traditional tortilla chip. As part of the relaunch, Hippeas debuted a new tortilla chip flavor: Sea Salt & Lime. All three varieties – Straight Up Sea Salt, Rockin’ Ranch and Sea Salt & Lime – pack 3 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber per 1 oz. serving. Hippeas Chickpea Tortilla Chips are available in-store and on Amazon for $4.48 per 5 oz. bag.
