Who doesn’t love a belly-filling fruit bowl, jam-packed with fresh produce and creamy coconut milk? It’s truly comfort food for uber-hungry health buffs.
At 41 Smoothie Co. in Palmetto, which opened in March, these big-bowl concoctions are as refreshing as they come—like the vibrantly-hued Blue Wave Bowl with banana, mango, honey and spirulina. Top it off with sweet granola, crushed almonds, strawberries, pineapple chunks and shredded coconut, and consider your daily fruit quota met.
Proprietor Adam Shahin, who holds a degree in engineering, also owns the computer repair shop next door—so it’s easy to keep a close eye on his new smoothie venture.
“We very much appreciate the positive response from the community so far, and the glowing reviews of our smoothies and acai bowls,” Shahin says.
The raves are for good reason. All of the menu items at 41 Smoothie Co. are made to order with a choice of coconut or whole milk. The base for the acai bowls is blended with bananas and strawberries, and toppings include chia seeds, granola, honey, blueberries, kiwi, shredded coconut, peanut butter and Nutella. There’s also a Berry Bowl with acai, mango and blueberry; or a Dragon Bowl with mango and dragon fruit.
And don’t dip out without a peanut butter and jelly parfait or a pineapple-rich Sunrise smoothie.
